Few things in life bring me greater joy and personal growth than writing and creating brand new fun, quirky or thoughtful songs to share with those who enjoy new music.

Stacy Henle has musical roots, with her father as her high school band director.  She started out on the flute and alto sax. Early on, her musical influences ranged from marching bands to German polkas/waltzes to military bands to jazz.  As she grew older, her vastly wide musical tastes and musical influences included various artists' work, such as the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Led Zepplin, Sting, Steely Dan, Doors, Maceo Parker, Lenny Kravitz, Dave Matthews Band, Cake, Alicia Keys, Soul Asylum, Gregg Brown, Sam Cooke, Simon and Garfunkel, Indigo Girls, Lucinda Williams, Sheryl Crow, Christina Aguilera, Loudon Wainwright, Benny Goodman, Poncho Sanchez, Sade, Indigo Girls, Bill Evans, Dolly Parton, Joni Mitchell, John Prine, and the list goes on.....like a thread weaving through genres

After high school, she chucked her musical studies completely and pursued the sciences, conducting discovery chemistry and clinical research for many years within the pharmaceutical industry prior to becoming a chemistry faculty member at Western Oregon University.  There, she ultimately circled back and returned to her musical roots by becoming a student of music theory, composition and performance on her own campus.

Stacy wrote her first original song while learning to play the piano in 2012.  She later transitioned to the guitar in 2016, shortly after her first Sisters Folk Festival Songwriting Camp, where she noticed every other songwriter played the guitar. She continually attends a variety of song camps, music workshops and lessons to continue enhancing and growing her musical and songwriting skills, as well as continuing to expand her musical repertoire and exposure.

She is currently in the process of releasing her debut album with Portland, Oregon-based musical producer Clara Baker, entitled "Sundry Love Songs". She currently performs at local coffee shops, outdoor events and farmers markets in the Corvallis and surrounding areas.

Stacy is also a member of a Corvallis, Oregon-based duo called The Cider Girls with Lori Stephens, who is also a local singer-songwriter. Both Lori and Stacy are seasoned songwriters and gifted vocalists, whose beautifully blended vocal harmonies enhance all of their songs.
